Costa Rica

July 11 – 18, 2020 – La Mano of Hope will be returning to Play Azul, Costa Rica for the first time since 2017. We are excited to be back in the community and serve with the local pastors Chespi and Milena. This outreach will be focused on supporting their community outreach camp through soccer and social compassion. We will work with Pastor Chespi and his team to serve the community, the children and the families through daily sports camps, women’s clinics, mother baby clinics and general medical care.

The cost of the Costa Rica outreach is $1550.00 which include airfare, travel in country, lodging, food and travel insurance. We are looking for partners to donate soccer equipment, reading glasses and vitamins. All gifts are tax-deductible and will go directly to the outreach as designated. To travel, you are required to have a passport that doesn’t expire within 6 months of the date of return to the U.S. and a current tetanus shot. Application deadline for this outreach is March 15, 2020.

Haiti

October 9 – 16, 2020 – Port Salut, located 5 hours west of the capital city of Port au Prince, is one of the many locations in the country of Haiti that was completely destroyed by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and will be the site of this particular Mano of Hope outreach. We were unable to be in Haiti in 2019 and are very excited that 2020 will be our third year to partner with the local missions organization, Reciprocal Ministries International, to serve the community with social compassion initiatives including health and hygiene clinics, distribution of clean water filters, distribution of goats to families in need and other projects as assigned by the missions organization.

The cost of this outreach is $1550.00 which includes airfare, travel in country, lodging, food and travel insurance. The travel requirements are a current passport that doesn’t expire within 6 months of return travel, a current tetanus, Hepatitis A and Typhoid Fever vaccines. There are no visa requirements.   All gifts are tax-deductible and will go directly to the purchasing of materials and supplies as designated.  Application deadline for this outreach is June 1, 2020.
