El Salvador

March 4-13, 2016 – In 2014 we had great success hosting soccer camps in El Salvador. We are looking forward once again to partner with local educators and volunteers in La Libertad. The team of volunteers will work closely with the local leadership there to organize soccer camps that will be offered to school aged children from various schools in the communities of Chanmico and San Matias. The soccer camp will also help bring families into the medical clinics which will be held simultaneously.

The cost of this trip is $1500 which includes airfare, travel in country, lodging, food and travel insurance. The travel requirements are a passport and a current tetanus. There are no visa or immunization requirements. We welcome all donated soccer balls, water bottles, prizes such as socks, shin guards, sports bags, etc. as well as finances to underwrite the cost of the outreach. All gifts are tax-deductible and will go directly to the sports camp as designated.

Ecuador

July 8-16, 2016 – This will be La Mano of Hope’s 6th sports clinic in the southern zone of the city of Quito, Ecuador.  Each year hundreds of children and teens participate in the soccer camp organized by the local church, La Fraternidad Cristiana del Ejercito.  Once again in 2016 we will be taking a team of volunteers to conduct a week long soccer clinic that provides soccer training and competition for the young people in the community. We are expanding this year to also work in the north part of Quito in a community known as Llano Grande with a Compassion school.  At the outreaches, in addition to instruction and games, the participants receive t-shirts, prizes and entertainment.  The cost of the Ecuador outreach is $1500 which includes airfare, travel in country, lodging, food and travel insurance.  Additionally, we need partners to make donations such soccer balls, water bottles, prizes including socks, shin guards, sports bags, etc, as well as finances to underwrite the cost of the outreach.  All gifts are tax-deductible and will go directly to the sports camp as designated.  The travel requirements are a passport and a current tetanus.  There are no visa or immunization requirements.
